Is it Right for Me?
While non-surgical body procedures can provide outstanding results, there are some people who may not be able to fully benefit from the treatments. Good candidates for non-surgical body treatments should have optimal muscle and bone structure and skin that is still strong and elastic. The ideal candidates should also have realistic goals and expectations for their treatment, especially patience knowing that results can take many months to achieve visible improvements.
The Expertise of Dr. Kornstein
While modern technology has made it possible to provide significant improvements with non-surgical treatments, technology alone will never ensure that you receive the results you are looking for. It takes an observant and experienced expert who has the training, knowledge, and in-depth understanding of anatomy, the aging process and aesthetics needed to perform the procedures properly.
Dr. Kornstein is a board-certified plastic surgeon of over 25 years who has continually provided our patients with the personalized aesthetic care they need. Dr. Kornstein understands the roles anatomy, aesthetics, aging, and other factors play when it comes to your appearance. By approaching each procedure with these factors in mind, Dr. Kornstein is able to suggest the best option for our patients, whether surgical, no surgical or a combination of both with comprehensive care and stunning results.
Options for Non-Surgical Body Procedures
Ultherapy
Ultherapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses focused ultrasound energy to target the structural layers of the skin and subcutaneous tissues without injury to the skin surface (no healing necessary as with laser, or chemical peels) The heat generated by the ultrasound energy stimulates the existing collagen and elastin to tighten while stimulating new production of the aged elements. This provides the tissues with additional strength and structure while helping to lift and tighten them.
Ultherapy can be used to treat the abdomen, breasts, buttocks, and knees. Dr. Kornstein has been using Ultherapy since 2011 and has received the Ultherapy Visionary Award for his non-surgical body-tightening work using Ultherapy.
Profound
Profound is another FDA-approved tissue tightening treatment that is safe, effective, and capable of providing long-lasting results. Profound is perfect for treating the aging face to help combat wrinkles, folds, and skin laxity without the need for surgery. Profound targets the skin using fractionated radiofrequency energy to stimulate the production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid which will help to keep the skin strong, tight, and hydrated. Dr. Kornstein developed and published a unique procedure whereby the benefits of Profound are used to target the deep plane facelift and neck tissues in an office based non-surgical facelift procedure. Profound is also commonly used to treat areas of the body like the stomach, thighs, buttocks, knees as well as cellulite.
Thanks to the consistently amazing results that Dr. Kornstein had been providing using Ultherapy, he was asked by Syneron Candela to help with the development of the Profound skin-tightening technology in 2015.
J Plasma/Renuvion
Renuvion, also known as J Plasma, is a minimally invasive operating room procedure, not unlike liposuction with respect to the small well-hidden access incisions enabling a unique blend of helium gas and radiofrequency energy to create a stream of plasma energy. The heat generated by the plasma targets the supportive structures of the skin causing them to contract which can dramatically tighten and shape the skin. J Plasma can be used to treat issues such as the neck, breast, abdomen, back, hips, waist, buttock, thighs, knees and calves and ankles.
